A Relaxing Weekend of Good Food and Quality Time

It's been an intense week, so I was really looking forward to the weekend arriving. One of my favourite ways to unwind is taking the dogs for long, leisurely walks around the neighbourhood. The fresh air and exercise do us all good.

On Saturday night, Ethan and I went to our favourite Italian restaurant, Correires, for lunch. I can never resist their delicious homemade pasta. Ethan ordered the creamy linguine, while I opted for my go-to dish, the Pietro Antoni linguini in tomato and cream sauce. The food was incredible, as always. It's the perfect place for us to catch up and decompress after a hectic work week.

Afterwards, we stopped by the grocery store to stock up on healthy foods for the week ahead. I always take my time perusing the produce section and look for the freshest, in-season fruits and veggies. I also picked up ingredients to make my speciality dips, spinach and artichoke.

After getting home and putting away the groceries, I prepped my tasty spinach artichoke dip to enjoy while we watched television and relaxed. It was the perfect treat with some crusty bread for dipping after a long week.

I also took some time to plan out a HelloFresh meal to cook tomorrow. I chose a delicious-sounding garlicky cream pasta. It will be a nice easy dinner to look forward to after another five days at work.

Weekends like this are essential for me to feel recharged for the upcoming week. Good food, quality time with loved ones, and moments of rest are how I make the most of my weekends. This one provided me with all three!
